Taraba State Female Apc Governorship Candidate Loses Re-run Election to Male PDP Candidate

Nigeria's dream of having the first elected female governor has been dashed after the APC Gubertorial candidate in Taraba state, Sen. Aisha Alhassan, lost the governorship re-run election to the PDP governorship candidate, Arch. Darius Ishaku.

INEC this afternoon declared Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku winner of the re-run election held yesterday April 25th.

Arch. Darius Ishaku pulled a total of 369,318 votes while Aisha Alhassan pulled a total of 275,984.
