Nigeria Legislators To Recieve ₦8.64billion as Wardrobe Allowance Next Week

Nigeria’s newly sworn in legislators will receive a whopping ₦8.64billion as wardrobe allowance next week, reports say.

Each one of the country’s 109 Senators will recieve ₦21.5million while the 360 members of the House of Representatives will get ₦17.5million each.

This amount is separate from other allowances, furniture, housing and transportation, which the lawmakers are expected to receive.

107 Senators will also receive ₦4,052,800 each as housing allowance while the Senate President and his Deputy will be provided with official accommodation.

Newly sworn-in Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce earlier called for government officials to reduce their expenditure in order to ensure that the funds are used for the development of the country.
