Authorities in the United States are charging a 31-year-old United States based Nigerian identified as Daniel Kadima, for murdering his mother a former Head Of Department (HOD) Mass Communication at the University of Jos, identified as Dr Hauwa Kadima.
61-year-old Dr Kadima was found dead at her Regency Park apartment in Texas USA in July 27 after they received a call alerting them of a person believed to be dead at her Longview apartment. An autopsy revealed she died from blunt impact to the head. She had fractures to her skull with laceration of the brain.
Her son, Daniel Kadima who has history of being mentally unstable was the last person seen leaving his mother’s apartment before her body was discovered during a welfare check. Though investigation is ongoing, the police said he is the person they believe beat his mother to death. He is currently being held in the Gregg County Jail.
Dr Hauwa Kadima lectured at the department of Mass Communication at the university of Jos for over three decades mentoring notable personalities in media across the country. She was a devout member of the ECWA Church and an officer with the Girls Brigade.
