Another Suicide Bomber Attacks Market In Maiduguri, Borno State


Suspected to be Boko Haram suicide bomber attacked Maiduguri again. Killing an unspecified number of people as it hits the market yesterday evening, Saturday 6th June.

According to a security source the incident happened around 4:10pm. “The attack happened at a place called cow market and many people are expected to be involved because the market is usually busy,” – he said.

The source added that the incident occurred when it was raining. Gideon Jibrin, the police public relations officer in the state, is yet to confirmed the incident.

Maiduguri, the biggest city in north-east Nigeria, has been attacked many times over the past six years.

The latest bombing at the Moru-Moru market in the Gamboru area came days after newly elected President Muhammadu Buhari declared it would relocate military headquarters from Abuja to Maiduguri.

Borno, Yobe and Adamawa are the Nigerian states mostly affected by deadly Boko Haram.
