Nigeria’s Third Female Doctor, Actress Joke Silva’s Mother Dies at 89-years

The third woman to become a doctor in Nigeria, Dr. Marienne Abimbola Silva who also happens to be the mother of respected nollywood actress, Joke Silva has passed on. She died peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, 19 July 2015 (yesterday morning) at the age of 89.

She is survived by Joke Silva (the actress), Bisi Silva, Jumoke Daodu and Lape Silva.
