Unknown Gunmen Assassinate Lagos State APC Chieftain, Shalewa Daramola

Some unknown Gunmen suspected to be assassins yesterday shot dead, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Mr. Shalewa Daramola, in Amuwo Odofin Local Government area of Lagos state.

Daramola who is the Assistant Treasurer at the APC Amuwo Odofin chapter, was at 3rd avenue ‘K’ close, Festac Town, where members of his party were sharing Sallah gift when the incident occurred.

He was said to have stepped out to check his car when one of the gunmen said to be in his 20s, emerged from an adjourning close and accosted Daramola, demanding for money.

Apparently thinking the stranger was a beggar, Daramola reportedly told him he had no money. The gunman was said to have fired Daramola four times, at close range before he jumped into a waiting motorbike.

Daramola was said to have been rushed to the Local government Primary Health Centre, from where he was referred to another hospital in Festac Town. But on the way to the hospital, he reportedly breathed his last.
